About Mark Mounts

Mark Mounts, MA, LPC, LCDC.

Mark Mounts has had the opportunity to provide counseling to individuals and families for more than 30 years. Over the years, he has worked with people from many different backgrounds and communities, including areas ranging from the Mississippi Delta to inner-city Detroit. These experiences have shaped his understanding of the many challenges people face and the importance of meeting each person with compassion, respect, and honesty.

In 2005, Mark received his master’s degree in professional counseling and later completed postgraduate training that led to licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). His approach to counseling is grounded in both professional experience and personal understanding. He believes that change is a deeply individual journey, and that each person deserves support in a way that fits their own life, needs, and path forward.

Mark is committed to creating a safe, supportive space where healing, growth, and lasting change can begin.

The Heart Behind Omega Psychotherapy & Recovery

Personal Reflection from Mark’s Son

I have had the blessing of being raised by this amazing man, and I have seen firsthand the wisdom, compassion, and care he brings to others. With decades of personal and professional experience, he has the tools and understanding to help people work through triggers, build coping skills, and create a path forward. More than a counselor or teacher, he is someone with a big heart who truly wants to help people find peace of mind, healing, and growth. I could not be more proud to call him my father.
